A Touch From Heaven – Book Review

A Touch From Heaven by Neal and Christopher Pylant

A Remarkable Journey of Faith in the Midst of Tests at Every Turn

A Touch from Heaven is the amazing story of Christopher Pylant, his complex brain surgery, his account of visits to heaven, his healing, and his parent’s astonishing faith.

Neal Pylant and Carol Zinz made their wedding vows in her parents’ home in, Baltimore, Maryland on May 19, 1973, before over sixty guests. Rabbi Shusterman officiated. Neal and Carol came from families of very different religious traditions and teachings.

Although Neal took seriously the need to father a son, “a seed for the next generation, a legacy” he was casual in the practice of living out his Christian faith, but strong in his conviction that God would provide the seed. In January of 1981 Christopher O’Neal Pylant was born, God’s answer to the promised seed.

In young Christopher’s third year it was discovered and confirmed by medical professionals in the field of neurology that he had an inoperable brain tumor. Devastated the Pylant’s faced trial after trial and test after test. They tenaciously held to the faith that God would spare Christopher’s life and heal him. “A Touch from Heaven” is their story. A story of  Carol’s conversion and Neal’s recommitment to his childhood faith.

I loved this book. I picked it up to just read it for a few minutes and never put it down until I finished it. The honesty and transparency of this family and what they went through is a faith builder and an encouragement to all of us. I have recommended this book to so many people to have them get it because of the way it shows that we can be victorious no matter what the trial is. Thank you Destiny image for a wonderful book that I am proud to recommend.
