The Praying to Change Your Life Facilitator’s Guide provides detailed steps for implementing each of the nine lessons of the course. Two DVD discs are included which feature Suzette T. Caldwell as facilitator of the series. She leads the participants with Biblically based, articulate, relevant teaching on a life changing approach to prayer.

The book centers on the model prayer of Jesus as being the Lord’s: because He said it, it is God centered, practical and productive, transformational, producing faith, is relational, and defeats the power of the devil and it produces kingdom results.

Caldwell carefully presents basic Bible doctrines to build evidence of the purpose and importance of prayer in an authoritative and convincing, presentation. Her material is well organized. She skillfully presents complex concepts and Biblical truths in simple terms, easy to assimilate and understand. Everyday illustrations are introduced to reinforce the scripture truths included. I appreciated the way Suzette portrayed Jesus as a man’s man and conveyed the idea of an individual’s prayer becomes the command center for Christian living.

At the beginning of each new session Suzette gives an excellent review of each of the previous lessons to reestablish the meaning of prayer as well as clear instructions for the ensuing week’s assignment and expectations.

The program incorporates a balance of effective graphic power points and lectures to command and maintain a powerful presentation that captures the attention of the participant.

My Recommendation

Praying to Change Your Life Facilitator’s Guide is highly recommended for small group use by incorporating in the church educational program, as a prayer emphasis for the whole church, or for use as an important resource in Bible college and seminary curriculum.
