Destiny Image is pleased to announce the release of Ron DiCianni’s and Lance Wubbels’, “In the Wilderness.”

The release comes shortly after a print of Christian artist, DiCianni’s, “Blessed Are the Peacemakers” artwork was removed from Mountain Home Air Force Base in Elmore, Idaho, due to a complaint regarding its religious content.

The painting was part of a collection to honor the heroes who responded to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The Pentagon reportedly authorized the removal of the print, which features a modern-day policeman standing in front of a medieval knight. The flag held in the hand of the knight morphs from a medieval coat of arms into the flag of the United States. The word “Integrity” is stenciled over the image, and the verse referenced is Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be named sons of God.”

Mikey Weinstein, founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, (MRFF), called the Pentagon after receiving the complaint reportedly from a non-commissioned officer at the base. Within an hour, the artwork was removed.

This recent controversy comes at the same time as DiCianni’s newest book is being released.  “In the Wilderness,” offers Insight about the purpose, spiritual growth and wisdom available as you move through the hardships and tragedies in your life, which he refers to as: the wilderness.

At any given moment, “You are either leaving the wilderness, entering the wilderness, or are in the wilderness,” said DiCianni. He went on to further explain, “The recent events involving my painting at the  Air Force Base while unfortunate, further prove our need for a Father who loves us through all of the trials that life brings.”

Using Biblical examples and relevant real-life stories, authors DiCianni and Wubbels encourage anyone at any stage of a wilderness experience. They remind you that complete reliance on God’s unfailing love and presence will take you from surviving a wilderness to thriving in it.

DiCianni’s and Wubbel’s book is available everywhere.
